Too Crowded, to fast, unfriendly guide & too expensive for how they treat you! „No pictures on the way back!!“ why, we payed all a lot for the trip and took all the way up to the Canyon!
The tour time for horseshoe bend is too short, less than an hour, it takes time to walk back and forth. Maybe it'd be better arrange the tour after the upper antelope canyon.
The reservation process was smooth, as well as the check in process. We arrived 2hrs early, but once we checked in we went to Horseshoe Bend(it’s about ten minutes away). We arrived back to the meeting place before departure time and took.. a 15 minute ride to the canyon. Our tour guide Mike was fantastic, he new all the right angles for pictures. The only downfall for the tour was the amount of people and the tour guide for the group behind us was not very nice. She was constantly yelling for us to move along, but we had a group in front of ours so we really couldn’t.Read full review
Although the driver was awesome, the ride to and from the canyon is painful. The canyon is great, but there are so many people it’s uncomfortable. The lower canyon is way more spectacular and very well managed with the tourists. The upper.. is go to the end and turn around and come back the same path. That might be the reason for the crowds.Read full review
INCREDIBLE experience... our guide, Vere, was a vault of information and turned what would have been a great tour on uts own, just absolutely fabulous.
Just to clarify, that if you want to visit this place, you must have a tour. That requires the tourist format and crowds that come with such a format. There are some extreme demands about how you have to check in an hour before, if not, you.. lose your spot and your money as they do not do refunds. This means they are going to sell your spot to a person at the gates and you do not get your money back. Even with the paid vouchers it still took 15 minutes to check in. You still have to pay in cash for the Indian tribe fee, 8 bucks a person. The company also does some maintenance to make it easier to walkthru by adding dirt to level the floor out some. A few ladders in and out that can be steep, but they are ladders and have handrails. The tour is actually short, an hour roughly. Staging people into groups and off you go 40 or so people at a time, every half hour. There is another guide company doing the same thing it seemed. What was great for us is that we had a good tour guide. That person gives you tidbits of information along the way, this also helps separate the groups as you go through the canyon. Our guide was excellent in attitude and friendliness. The guides second responsibility seems to be, taking pictures with your camera of you, along the way at several locations which is obviously a great thing. They also suggest what settings you should have on your cameras or cell phones to get best pictures. Now, the Canyon itself, was very majestic and at the end I had seen enough. Tip your guide a few bucks at the end.Read full review
I recently took this tour with 3 friends. The entire tour consisted of only 13 so people were very friendly. We were lucky to get Marie Easton as our driver and guide. She was fabulous! She took very good care of us the entire time. We saw ..scenery that was unbelievable! Make sure you take the optional Lower Antelope Canyon tour. Having been out west several times before and experienced the beauty, I guarantee that you will be blown away! Marie provided delicious food, and our accommodations, while not fancy, were comfortable and clean. I highly recommend this trip!Read full review
Wow! First, our tour guide, Alex, was so knowledgeable. I loved his narration which included geological details as well as anthropology and much more. He was so organised and nothing seemed to phase him. The whole package of iconic sites, c..amping and meeting new people was truly one of my favourite travelling moments. All of the locations were amazing but Monument Valley was super special for me. The extra activities which included a helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon (the combined visual spectacle and music playlist overwhelmed me - wonderful,) a hummer offroad experience (so much giggling - thank you Ryan) and Antelope Canyon (totally magical) were impressive. Yay and well done!!Read full review
