Matsumoto Castle was an impressive sight with its striking black walls and stunning architecture. We learned about its fascinating history and enjoyed panoramic views from the top. It's a must-see for anyone interested in Japan's feudal pas..t and one of the best-preserved castles in the country.Read full review
This was a fantastic 14 day tour of Japan which I would wholly recommend. The amount of activities we managed to fit into the time was incredible, the accommodation was good and the ratio of free time to group time was right. We saw so much.. and I really don’t feel like there is anything big that we missed. Alyssa was a fantastic guide, genuinely. She kept us on time, was knowledgable, friendly and really easy to get along with! The trip would not have been as good without her, I know that. PS this trip is fast paced and you walk a lot so be ready for that - but if you have a reasonable level of walking fitness and are ready to go explore all that Japan has to offer for a great price, don’t hesitate to book this tour.Read full review

Shiraito Falls was an enchanting stop on our tour. The delicate, thread-like streams of water cascading down the mossy cliff were breathtaking. It felt like a hidden gem in the midst of nature, perfect for a peaceful retreat and photo oppor..tunities.Read full review
I had a brilliant time on my tour of Japan and would definitely recommend it to those who have never been to Japan before but have wanted to go for a long time. We went to all the most famous places, but the best bit was that we almost alwa..ys went at times when it was a bit quieter. Everyone warned us before going that it was going to be busy because of cherry blossom season, but I get the feeling that the tour was well scheduled to avoid the biggest crowds, which was great. My absolute favourite part of Japan was Kyoto, and I loved the day where we went to the thousand red tori gates and then the kiyomizudera and then had a tea ceremony in kimono. I honestly felt like I was living in a dream that day. A highlight of the trip was also Takayama (and the optional onsen we went to there) and also miyajima island. The deer in Nara were also adorable. This tour is best for those who are happy to walk around a lot and are willing to try new things and experience new food. All of the accommodation was great and the transport was all booked in advance and easy to navigate with the help of our tour guide, Sarah, who was amazing. If I had to change anything about the tour it would be to spend one more day in Takayama and go straight from Osaka to Hiroshima, rather than through Koyasan. I did really enjoy Koyasan and I imagine it would be a highlight for those who are interested in Buddhism or those more spiritual than I am. I personally felt like there was more I wanted to explore and do in Takayama.Read full review
This tour is fast paced. Don't expect to see everything or spend a heap of time in one place but rather see a snapshot of Japan. Getting to Tokyo a few days before the tour starts should be recommened. The tour itself ran very smoothly due ..to great communication and organisation from our guide Hayley. It was a great way to see a lot in a short amount of time. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who has mobility issues or is unfit. There is a heap of walking (25-30k steps a day) and a few early starts if you want to participate in all the activities. You will be tired and your feet will be sore but it's part of the fun of it all and I would encourage people to have an open mind. As a solo traveller, it was a great tour to share the experience with others and make friends. For example travelling solo, I would never had considered to learn kendo, make sushi or wear a kimono but these were some of the unique experiences that we got to do. It was well lead by the guide Hayley, who was patient, postive and very helpful throughout the tour.Read full review
Had the time of my life, I will never forget my personal experience. The best part is meeting all the other fantastic travellers, and of course seeing a bunch of iconic sites. It is a very fast-paced tour, but that’s to be expected.
We had a great time on the 10 day tour with our guide Brad. Included activities were very fun and gave a great overview of Japan. Brad provided many great recommendations on places to eat and activities to do. Our group had a lot of fun! Fo..r future travelers I recommend bringing a rain jacket just in case and a pair of supportive walking shoes.Read full review

A great adventure awaits for the ones who are ready to delve into this most exotic and fantastic country - and who are also ready to challenge their feet! Be prepared for that and enjoy the time of your life.
The Japan 10 day tour is a winner. Loved this tour. Alyssa was a great guide. She really looked after us and we had a lot of fun with her. Great balance of guided and independent free time. Loved the chance to get around as the locals do us..ing public transport and not miss the small things. Hard to pick favourites but family dinner and games at Hakone, Temple Stay in Takayama, and the sights and activities in Kyoto were all huge highlights! Thank you and a huge thanks to Alyssa!Read full review
