The town of Churchill rests in northern Manitoba beside the Hudson Bay and is known as the "Polar Bear Capitol of the Bear" for the large polar bear population that migrates through the region. Ecotourism services have expanded into the region through the use of tundra buggies to safely allow tourists to view the bears from these modified buses. Beyond its popularity as a polar bear center, the town is also a popular destination for visitors hoping to see beluga whales, the northern lights, the Prince of Wales Fort, and the cultural and historical museums like the Eskimo Museum which features various artifacts from aboriginal tribes in Canada.
