This pre-Romanesque church on the slope of Mount Naranco is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Santa Maria del Naranco Church was originally built in the 9th century as a palace for the King of Aragon, Ramiro I, and later converted into a church. The church is distinct because of its artistic stonework featuring hunting scenes and symbols.
